First of the Organic Liberty dresses, in classic Betsy, finished. I'm loving the soft colours! It feels exactly like tana lawn but just knowing the purity of it feels wonderful.
In case anyone wonders....yes! I do have these genuine straw hats in stock. They are hand made in Portugal by a lovely family business.
The dress and hats will be online on the website in a day or two. I have another 4 designs to make from the organic collection, so more will appear soon!

Spring is here in Cornwall today! It is actually warm, no wind (a rarity up here in the hills) and sunny. I rescued a bee earlier that must have been hibernating in the rafters. Sugar water did the trick and it flew off after about an hour....it's those little things, isn't it??!
Anyway, this dress is one I've been working on. And looking at it now, I wonder if it might work as a skirt and top? Added to my list!

The detail in this new Liberty print is amazing! I couldn't stop admiring the subtle colours whilst making up this dress. It's called Felda from the new ss21 collection.
I used a buttermilk colour piping because how can you choose one???

I've been patient until now but I can't wait to see these new Liberty Organic Tana Lawns in real life! I pre-ordered these 5 designs and they said they're expected mid-Feb. So nearly there now.....

Liberty have re-coloured so many of my very old favourites and printed them on GOTS certified organic cotton. Betsy, Claire Aude, Field Flowers, Mamie and Nancy Ann!! Oh, those glorious colours.....

Summer is going to be beautiful!

Work in progress! Just in case anyone is under the illusion that these dresses happen magically......let me tell you they do not!!!

But don't feel sorry for me - it's a part of the process I love.
This one is an idea I've had for a while. Little boho girl...... and my passion for scallops.

The first draft went a bit wrong, but it's ok it just needs widening (so the little girl can actually breathe - important!). Once the paper pattern draft has been re-drawn correctly, tested in fabric and tried on the model, all pieces will be graded through all sizes.

Only when I am sure the sizes correspond with my detailed size chart will it be ready for sale.
